Analysing our food diaries is very interesting.

Today we used counters to represent the different food groups in the food pyramid - not many of our 'daily diet food pyramids' turned out like they should have though!!

It's easy to see where we can make improvements and eat more healthily...

Red (counters) = meat, fish, nuts, eggs (1+ serve per day)
Blue = treat foods - high in fats/ sugars (we thought MAX 1 per day)
Green = fruit and veges (5+ a day)
Yellow = potatoes, grains, bread (3-5 serves per day but watch out, too many of these foods can make you put on weight)
White = milk and milk products (2-3 serves per day)

Make an advertisement for a new breakfast cereal.  Your new cereal could be a combination of existing products or a modification of an existing product OR something completely new.

Here are some of the advertisements the students have come up with:

Sophie's Mexican breakfast

Marley's 'CluedOs' based on the game of Cluedo...

 Keisha's singalong cereal!

Timo's take on a popular game

George's Minecraft for breakfast - what next?

Harry - more Minecraft for breaky...

More pasta!!

George and Soph carried on with the pasta making at home over the weekend!  Great job guys...
